Skeena Valley Country Music Festival

August 16 – 18, 2024

250-4650 Lazelle Ave • Terrace, BC

We hope to see you this weekend at the Skeena Valley Country Music Festival in Terrace. So much happening over the three days.

Event Recap:

The Conservation Department of the British Columbia Métis Federation (BCMF) had an amazing weekend in Terrace, BC, attending the Skeena Valley Country Music Festival! The event featured incredible live performances, including traditional Métis fiddle music that had everyone on their feet. Our department was thrilled to sponsor several rounds of bingo, giving away $300.00 in gift cards to support local businesses. The festival provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community while celebrating Métis culture and local talent. The energy and camaraderie at the event created a memorable experience for everyone involved.

In addition to the music and community fun, our team explored the natural beauty of the region. We visited Anhluut'ukwsim Lax̱mihl Angwinga'asanskwhl Nisg̱a'a Park (Nisg̱a'a Memorial Lava Bed Park), where the breathtaking views left us in awe. The park’s stunning lava formations and vibrant history made the trip both educational and inspiring. We also enjoyed a short trip to Prince Rupert, where the stunning ocean scenery capped off a memorable weekend. The coastal views and fresh sea air were the perfect ending to a weekend filled with culture, nature, and community connection.
