BC Métis Federation's Conservation Department recently met with some members to discuss new ideas, including upcoming community events aimed at fostering growth and connection.

Event Recap:

The Conservation Department of the BC Métis Federation recently met with a group of our members to discuss the future direction of the group. It was a great opportunity to gather feedback and exchange ideas on how we can improve and grow. Members shared their thoughts on what’s working well and areas where we could take a fresh approach to better serve our community.

One of the key topics was the possibility of changing the group's name. There was a lot of excitement around the idea, with members suggesting names that would better reflect our goals and Métis heritage. While no decisions were made just yet, it’s clear that a name change could be a positive step in representing who we are and what we stand for.

We also touched on the importance of moving forward with events. Everyone agreed that our next steps should focus on organizing gatherings that not only highlight conservation efforts but also bring the community together. There’s a lot of enthusiasm about what’s ahead, and we're looking forward to making it happen.
