Event Recap:

This weekend, the Conservation Department of BC Métis Federation participated in the "Hats Off for Trails" event, an exciting celebration of BC Trails organized by the Regional District of Central Okanagan. Our booth was prominently set up alongside the trail, providing a prime spot to engage with the runners and other attendees.

We were thrilled to be joined by our partner community, MACO. Together, our booths created a vibrant and informative presence, showcasing our collective commitment to environmental protection and community engagement.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the local community, raise awareness about the importance of preserving our coastal waters, and celebrate the beautiful trails of British Columbia. The atmosphere was lively and filled with the enthusiasm of runners, volunteers, and visitors, all coming together to enjoy and support our regional trails.

In addition to raising awareness, we distributed educational materials and engaged in meaningful conversations about the ongoing efforts to protect our natural resources. The positive feedback and support from the community were overwhelming, reinforcing the importance of our mission.

Overall, "Hats Off for Trails" was a successful and memorable event, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and community collaboration. We look forward to future events where we can continue to promote and protect our natural resources.
